From an unimpressive exterior you enter an Aladdin’s Cave full of Chinese furniture crafted from solid rosewood and ash, together with a selection of Oriental antiques, ornaments and lamps. The Chinese rosewood Furniture comes from selected workshops in China.

Oriental Expression was started in the mid 1980’s by craftsman and teacher Rob McCretton, importing high quality Chinese furniture for supply direct to the public to minimise costs. As a craftsman Rob recognised the high quality of design and craftsmanship used in each piece after commissioning furniture for himself whilst based in Hong Kong.  After 10 years teaching Rob returned to UK and started Oriental Expression.

Originally based at Newnham in Cambridge, he  moved to the Old Tannery Shop in Pampisford, more recently relocating to the Eastern Counties Leather Estate, approximately 150 metres along the road.
